LBC goes national – the launch audio

LBC New and Old logos

More bombastic than ever, LBC goes UK-wide with a proper top of the hour sequence and an extremely well-enunciated Nick Ferrari leading the charge.

Ingredients: good morning, tight writing, timpani, serious voice “it’s going to get worse”, short clips in quality, strings, reporters self-id on location, an exclusive, French horns and LBC itself making the news.

Many thanks to veteran chronicler of the station Paul Easton for recording the audio.

The station has also created a “this is what we do” introductory page on its website for new listeners and has sharpened up its visual identity.¬†Gone is the ripped paper¬†ransom note effect. The new LBC logo also has a more serious colourway and a uniform typeface.
