BBC Radio 2 Eurovision launches on Thursday lunchtime and to celebrate the Radio 2 presenters have dropped their guard and made a no-expenses-incurred video.

We’ve made our minds up already.

Chris Evans and Alex Lester made a proper effort, the camera loves Sara Cox and Claudia Winkleman, poor Jeremy Vine was lit by Anglepoise, Molly Smitten-Downes expected better direction and the rest of them can’t lip sync for toffee.

Still, that’s Eurovision and, like the new pop-up station, the video is clearly aimed at existing BBC Radio 2 listeners for whom these personalities are already well known and can do little wrong.

It would be unfair to compare it with the glossy new ads for Heart but I think we can all be reassured that Radio 2 has put its money into the programmes, the new pop-up station and not into this video.
