How are your entries for the Sony Radio Academy Awards coming together? You might want to look at the RAP awards at the same time. Their closing date is just a few days later.

If you’ve already selected your best work of the year and written your summaries then this seems like a chance to get extra recognition for not much more work.

The entry fee can be as low as £19 if you subscribe to RAP. And why might you do that? Well, the RAP Magazine is a true stalwart of the changing radio industry and features a lot of rather interesting interviews about production technique.

I remember Jerry Vigil of RAP interviewing me once. Now their website confirms it was in July 1995. Heaven knows why – sixteen years ago I knew nothing about anything.
