Ideas and technique to help you promote and image radio

Bill Gates voices a BBC promo

Sometimes you land a huge guest. Well done.

If you’ve persuaded someone as recognisable and well-regarded as Bill Gates to come on your show then it’s probably not too much to ask them to help you promote it.

So here’s Bill Gates promoting his forthcoming appearance on the BBC World Service programme World Have Your Say.

He’s no professional v/o of course but it’s done nicely in advance, in video, in social media so it’s instantly shareable. It’s likely to introduce the programme and the BBC to new audiences.

I also calculate it (using MS Windows) to be precisely three gazillion times more memorable than a presenter read.
