UKRD stations mark the Diamond Years
UKRD knows how to celebrate a Royal occasion. After all, its KL.FM station serves Sandringham.
So this weekend the group is marking the Queen’s Jubilee weekend with a series of fourteen speech features.
The promotion ties together moments in history with sixty years of music under the banner “The Diamond Years” and is running across all UKRD stations this weekend.
Each feature “vingette” highlights a particular aspect of Her Majesty’s reign with scripted set-up and archive audio. They hit the popular high points, some poignant moments of sorrow and jog fun memories too. Remember when Rolf Harris met Her Majesty?
They all close with the line “Sixty years on the throne. Sixty years of great music” before segueing into a classic hit to prove the point.
Here are a few untagged examples from the set:
The audio was produced by Adam Venton and Colin McGuinness at UKRD Group Production.
