BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend mashup video

To help launch the BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend event in Summer 2015, the talented folk at the Beeb have created a visual mash up of all 34 artists performing.

A fantastic piece of social content which mixes artists, groups and performers across genres, styles and radio/club edits- from Snoop Dogg to Taylor Swift and Catfish and the Bottleman to Charli XCX.

The mash-up samples 50 tracks by 34 artists – all on the line up for Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Norwich. Multiple remixes of tracks are used to mix between the genres of music from EDM to hiphop and dance to bubble gum pop! A simple ‘click’ visual from some of the artists has been sourced to create a singular style between the mashup and help piece artists together.
